This site is a product of a collective regional effort to create a greenway vision for southeast Michigan. This effort was led [supported?] by the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan as part of its GreenWays Initiative, a six-year, $100 million program to create a connected green infrastructure, including biking and hiking paths, conservation corridors and habitats, throughout the region.
